Waiting

I've come to the realization that the waiting over clearances, which haven't even really begun yet in my case, and the register must slowly drive all the candidates (and their families) insane.

Yes.

Do you read the blog "I'll Take Mine to Go, Please!"?

Very sweet folks.

They are waiting on the register right now, and have blogged about how the wait is really hard:

It has happened to all of us. We have all gone through the clearances, and the requests for more information, and the waiting on the registers. I remember how difficult it was. My heart goes out to you. The waiting is really hard! And the process is really long.

Sorry for the limbo.

Blessings to you guys.

Are you on the yahoo group with those waiting for the call? I found it way to indulge my OCD and helped some with the waiting.

Kolbi, thanks! I have seen the "I'll Take Mine to Go, Please!" blog and it's scary how her blog posts track my (and my wife's) state of mind!

Digger, yes, I've been a lurker on the A-100 board. It's been helpful for managing my impatience ;)

I think they are just checking to see if you can deal with a life of "hurry up and wait" with out going postal.

Many things in the FS work that way. You will wait for bid lists to come out, you will wait to see if you get a promotion (or tenured as the case may be) this year, you will wait to see where you are going next after you have submitted your bids. Sometimes it seems the one constant in the FS is that you will have to hurry up and wait.

I hope you hear something soon so you can relax for a while.

I think that Patience is the "14th Virtue". They're just testing you. Haha.

It really is just practice for the rest of the FS. If you can get through this without going grey, you'll be fine.

Best of luck!
