More Bad Border News
Someone threw an explosive device into the consulate grounds in Nuevo Laredo. Thankfully, other than some minor property damage, no one was injured. More info here.
Just a coincidental, random act of terror, or is it somehow related to the murders of consulate workers in Juarez last month?

I think the bomb in Nuevo Laredo is not a related act to the murders in Juarez, nor is it entirely separate. The cartel situations in each city are quite different, but both of these border cities are cartel/soldier battlegrounds. I am dreading increased attacks targeting Americans, but so far there's just not enough to indicate that that's definitely what's going on. Really, it's not beneficial to the cartels to get the U.S. more focused on them.
